Anime Review: Kimi ni Todoke

This series has occupied my time recently and is also one of the best shoujo anime one can ever find!

Plot Summary: Sawako Kuronuma's one wish in life is to make friends. That's a difficult proposition when everyone who meets her cowers in terror, due to her resemblance to Sadako (after whom they nickname her) from the Japanese horror movie series The Ring. Shunned by her classmates, her life starts to change after she befriends her classmate, Shōta Kazehaya, a popular, easygoing and 100% refreshing guy who is nice with everyone, even with her. This is one of the typical shoujo with sparkling male MC and a quiet female MC. The first season has 25 episodes while the second season has 12 episodes with 1 extra. Being a manga adaptation, it ended before the manga actually ends...so...after finishing season 2, you can read the continuation of the story in the manga :D except if there is any sign of season 3 ><

The opening song of the first season is really good, and its instrumental version is often used as the background music in the anime itself. It contains comedy on some parts, and being a shoujo anime, of course it has a lot of heart warming moments where us girls can fangirl about ^u^

The art is not that good as compared to the other shoujo series, but it is still fine because Kazehaya still looks handsome ehehe :3

*SPOILER ALERT*

Kazehaya is really the perfect type of boyfriend one can ever want... I really feel bad for Kurumi as her long long long long love was unrequited, and she lost to a gloomy girl like Sawako. Truthfully I don't really like Sawako because she is so much of a cry baby. She literally cried in almost every time and every where in the series -,-

I find the love between Ryuu and Chizu very cute >u< I do hope they will get married one day lol.

Overall it is a pretty good series and the shoujo lovers out there should not miss this series!! :D
